Hong Kong – East Meets West

Hong Kong is a fusion of the East with the West. With its steel skyscrapers and snazzy stores, tourists usually flock to Hong Kong for shopping. But don’t miss the city’s breathtaking views – lying on both sides of the river, it glitters and glimmers at night with its tall tall buildings all lit up. Double-decker buses ply through its streets, giving the city an English character.

And yet, Hong Kong also has traditional Chinese quarters suffused with the aromas of herbs as well as some good beaches. If you’re going with kids, don’t miss out on the amusement parks here. Looking for some outdoor pursuits? Head to the periphery of the city with many hiking hideouts.

Hong Kong is contemporary and ancient at the same time. Its diversity can only be experienced, not described. Oh, and don’t miss the succulent seafood.
