Beijing – Ancient City with a Modern character

Beijing is ancient and modern at the same time. There are high rises, a huge expanse of only apartment buildings and eight-lane highways here. Yet, in the hidden nooks, an old way of life goes on with beautiful temples, genteel tea houses and lush parks, reminiscent of its royal days. Beijing also has arty cafes, quaint tea houses, art galleries and trendy bars.

Once you’ve had your fill, head to the famous Great Wall of China which lies just towards the north of the city. One of the seven wonders of world, the wall undulates through hills and can be seen even from the moon!
