Alappuzha Beach Kerela: Venice of the East
Alappuzha Beach, often referred to as the Venice of the East for its labyrinth backwaters and lagoons, is one of the most serene beaches in India. Located on the shoreline of God’s Own Country, Kerala, the Alappuzha Beach is perhaps most known for its 140 year old wooden pier that juts out majestically into the sea. - Vijaya Beach Park, a small and rather simplistic children’s park, is also popular among the tourists. The park is open between 1500 and 2000 hours, and charges a nominal fee.
